About Paolo Petrocelli

Paolo Petrocelli (PhD) is a cultural leader and academic driven by the belief that culture, arts, and education are a major force for growth, development, and change globally.

Currently the Head of Dubai Opera in the United Arab Emirates and a former Board Member of the Rome Opera House, Dr. Petrocelli serves as a cultural and music diplomacy ambassador, forging bonds through the arts across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the US.

He is the Founder and President of EMMA for Peace, Co-Founder and Honorary President of the Italian Youth Association for UNESCO, and Cultural Advisor to Coldplay.

His academic background is extensive: he holds a PhD from IULM University, an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi, and has been a Visiting Fellow at Yale University and a Visiting Researcher at MIT Media Lab. Currently, he is a Research Affiliate at metaLAB (at) Harvard and a lecturer at leading international universities.
